
Both of the North Dakota State College of Science basketball teams went over the century mark in their final regular season game, running away with home wins over United Tribes Technical College on Sunday.
The Lady Wildcats pitched a shutout in the opening quarter and led 31-0 heading into the second quarter with the final score coming out to 109-53.
Six wildcats hit double figures with Maile Hunt coming off the bench and scoring a game-high 23 points.
Grace Massaquoi and Charita “Tiny” Lewis each poured in 18 for NDSCS.
The Wildcat men completed the sweep with a 119-72 rout of the Thunderbirds.
Kaleb Larson led the ‘Cats in points and rebounds with 22 and nine, respectively.
Peyton Newbern also hit the 20-point mark with 21.
Both of the NDSCS teams secured home-court advantage for the Region XIII Tournament. The tournaments begin Wednesday with the Wildcats getting a first-round bye with their semifinal games set for Saturday.
