The Wahpeton Lady Huskies claimed a 71-62 win over the Breckenridge Cowgirls on Saturday with big performances from senior guards McKena Koolmo and Emma Bontjes in their final Border Battle.

Koolmo knocked down all 12 of her free-throw attempts on her way to 24 points.

Emma Bontjes followed with 19 to go along with a team-high eight rebounds.

The Cowgirls were led by Parker Yaggie with team highs in points and rebounds with 18 and eight, respectively.

Breckenridge’s other standout freshman Johnica Bernotas also hit double figures with 16.

The Lady Huskies move on to face West Fargo at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wahpeton.

The Cowgirls move on host Hawley at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday.
