The Minnesota Twins have resigned All Star Shortstop Carlos Correa to a six year $200 million dollar contract the team announced Wednesday.
Correa had two other deals fall through this off season. A 13-year, $350 million contract with the San Francisco Giants and a 12-year, $315 million agreement with the Mets both hinged on a physical that Correa did not pass. The Twins on Wednesday announced that Correa passed their physical and the shortstop was “home.”
Correa, 28, is among the game’s best shortstops hitting .291/.366/.467 with 22 home runs and high-level defense last year for Minnesota.
