The Wahpeton Police Department released the name of the man who died the morning of November 23 in Wahpeton.
Charles Roy Cox, a 54-year-old Wahpeton resident, passed away due to severe blood loss after being transported by ambulance to St. Francis Medical Center in Breckenridge.
The manner of Cox’s death is still pending at this time with the investigation ongoing.
The injuries were caused by multiple sharp force injuries according to a preliminary autopsy report by the Ramsey County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The incident, which took place at a home in the 400 block of 8th St. North in Wahpeton, found Cox and an adult woman with serious injuries during a violent domestic incident at the residence.
The unidentified injured female was life-flighted to a Fargo hospital after being transported to St. Francis separately. No further information is available as she requested privacy protection under the provisions of Marcy’s Law.
