12 ounces of meth seized in traffic stop

On Tuesday, Oct. 18, the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office and other agencies located approximately 12 ounces of methamphetamine in the City of Rothsay during a traffic stop.

The male driver, Alan Anderson of Moorhead, was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Possession of Controlled Substance. The female passenger, Alyssa Kaye Gregor of Wolverton, was arrested and charged with 1st Degree Possession of Controlled Substance as well.

The narcotics investigation had been going on since Aug. 15 by the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office as they monitored the residence of 209 1st St. in Wolverton.

When the investigation led outside of Wilkin County, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was contacted to assist.

Other agencies assisting with the investigation were the Lakes to Rivers Task Force, West Central Task Force, Clay County Sheriff’s Office K9 and Minnesota State Patrol.

Anderson and Gregor are currently being held in the Wilkin County Jail.
