The Wahpeton volleyball team played their first conference match of the season, falling to West Fargo Horace by a score of 3-0 on Tuesday. The set scores were 25-22, 25-10 and 25-9.

It was Horace’s first EDC victory in their inaugural season in the conference.

Emma Bontjes was the kill leader with four and Madison Schafer followed with three. Schafer also had a pair of blocks in the loss.

Bontjes and Reagan Wohlers led the dig effort with 11 apiece.

Next up for Wahpeton is their home opener at 7 p.m. Thursday against Valley City.
