The Breckenridge Cowgirls opened their season with a home sweep against Hancock on Tuesday night by scores of 25-8, 25-18 and 25-15.

Kelsey Ceroll turned in a monster showing from the server’s line with eight aces on the night. Ceroll also tied for the team lead in assists and digs with 13 and 11, respectively.

Parker Yaggie shared the team lead in assists while Abby Johnson matched Ceroll’s dig count. Johnson also led the team in kills with 13.

Breckenridge is back in action with a 3:30 p.m. Thursday road match against Henning.
