BARNEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A man is dead and two others were seriously injured after a head-on crash in Richland County early Saturday morning.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a Toyota Corolla was traveling eastbound on Highway 13 after 2 AM when it collided head-on with a Nissan Alitma near mile marker 374.

Both vehicles came to rest on different sides of the roadway. The 47 year-old Toyota Driver was pronounced dead on the scene. Two 19 year-old males in the Nissan were seriously injured. They were not wearing their seatbelts. They were transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. They were assisted by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Barney Fire Department, Wyndmere Fire Department, Wyndmere Ambulance, and Breck Ambulance.
