A state sendoff will be held Wednesday for Breckenridge track athletes Ivy Ovsak and Jacob Kunkel when they leave for the Minnesota State Track and Field Meet.

The athletes will be escorted out of time at 9 a.m. from the back of Breckenridge High School at door 10. Fans are encouraged to arrive at 8:50 a.m. to send them off in style.

Ovsak, a junior, qualified for state with a second-place finish at the Section 6A Meet. She had a throw of 34-feet-9-inches.

Jacob Kunkel, a sophomore, took fourth in high jump at Sections and had a qualifying jump of 6-feet-1-inch.

The State Track Meet begins Thursday.
