
Sanford Health staff were recognized for their dedication and care they provide for their patients during Sanford Health’s Recognition event this month. Each year, Sanford employees nominate their colleagues to be recognized for the work they do for their patients and communities.
Tashana Sedler, ADN, RN and Teresa Pearson, LPN received the Florence Nightingale award and Sandee Moderow, medical assistant, received the Friend of Nursing award during the Sanford Health nurse’s week celebration this month.
The Florence Nightingale award, the most prestigious nursing award, recognizes nurses for outstanding involvement in the practice of the art and science of nursing. It is shown by strength of character, commitment and competence that has been recognized by their peers as an outstanding asset to the community, nursing profession and the Sanford Health organization.
“I’m incredibly proud of these women for representing the nursing and healthcare profession in such a significant way.” Said Brittany Jaehning, Sanford Wahpeton clinic director. “They not only provide exceptional care for their patients, but serve as an amazing example to others in the profession to look up to.”
National Nurses Week is acknowledged by health care organizations and the American Nurses Association annually.
