The Richland County Sheriff’s Office along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to a call of a male who was struck by a skid steer while on a job site in rural Mooreton. The 38 year old male from West Fargo is an employee of Morton Builders and was guiding a skid seer operated by another employee. The skid steer operator was maneuvering a concrete pillar and the male guiding the skid steer was distracted momentarily causing the operator of the skid steer to run over the male’s foot/leg. Mooreton First responders and Wahpeton/Breckenridge Ambulance Service responded and the male was transported to Sanford Hospital in Fargo with unknown injuries.

The incident remains under investigation by the Richland County Sheriff’s Office and the OSHA.
