The City of Wahpeton would like to remind residents that all sump pumps must now be directed into the street or your yard. Directing it to the sanitary sewer is only permitted from November 15 to March 15. The Public Works Department will be monitoring these connections and if citizens are found in violation, they will be assessed a $75.00/month charge added to their utility bill.
