Three Wahpeton teams were honored by the North Dakota High School Activities Association as Team Scholars, an award achieved by having a cumulative team GPA of 3.20 or higher.

The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm gymnastics team had the highest team GPA in the state at 3.74.

The Wahpeton Lady Huskies basketball team had a GPA of 3.52 and the Wahpeton boys basketball team had a GPA of 3.45.

Along with the Wahpeton teams, both of Richland’s basketball teams earned the academic honor. The Colt boys had the second highest GPA in the state at 3.75 while the girls were fourth in the state at 3.83.
