Wahpeton Public Schools has announced their six candidates for their next superintendent who will replace Rick Jacobson, who is retiring. The candidates were approved by the Wahpeton School Board.
Two of the candidates are already in the Wahpeton school system with Wahpeton Middle School Principal Steve Hockert and Wahpeton High School principal Ned Clooten applying.
The other four applicants are currently superintendents at other schools. Chad Benson (Hankinson), Rick Diegel (Kidder County), Michael Kaiser (Ellendale) and Chris Larson (Milnor) were announced as finalists.
Ten individuals applied for the job.
