The Twin Towns have been hit hard this winter with the snow. After back to back winters with low precipitation, this winter both Breckenridge and Wahpeton have been covered with a thick coat of snow for the past three months. Early this week, both sides of the river were blasted with another cold front, the unofficial fourth blizzard of the year.

According to the National Weather Service Breckenridge reported 12.5 inches of snow over the past week, that’s 12th most reported in the state during the winter storms. Duluth is reported to have had upwards of 20 inches of snow.
