The Breckenridge Cowboys picked up their first Heart O’ Lakes victory of the season with a 69-47 road victory over Frazee on Thursday. The victory avenged an overtime loss to the Hornets a month prior.
Jack Johnson caught fire and knocked down seven triples on his way to a game-high 27 points. He had 14 points and four 3-pointers at halftime to help his team to a 26-22 lead at the break.
Alex Sanchez turned in a strong second half with 10 of his 16 points.
The 4-15 Cowboys go back to work on Tuesday with a 7:30 p.m. battle in Perham.
