On January 9 at 12:36 pm the Richland County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a structure fire at 7925 17th Avenue SE in Wahpeton. The home owner called 911 requesting the fire department for a detached garage that was fully engulfed.

At this time cause of the fire is unknow, and the investigation has been forwarded to the North Dakota State Fire Marshal’s Office.

The garage along with several vehicles that were located inside the garage are a total loss.

The Richland County Sheriff’s Office, Dwight Fire Department and Mooreton Fire Department responded to the scene.
