The Breckenridge Cowboys fell short of their goal of a Section 6A Championship with a 32-0 loss to New York Mills in the Fargodome on Friday night.
The Cowboys trailed 18-0 at halftime against an Eagles offense that put chewed up plenty of clock while they marched down the field.
Bren Salo put on a show while playing quarterback for New York Mills, running in for three touchdowns while also throwing a TD pass. Salo also picked off a pass on defense.
Jonah Johnson hauled in the Salo scoring strike and also broke free for a long touchdown run.
The Cowboys end their season with a record of 6-5, advancing to the section championship game for the third consecutive year.
