North Dakota State College of Science’s basketball teams hosted Iowa Lakes Community College for a doubleheader on Monday. The Lady Wildcats kept their foot on the gas for an 88-51 victory and the NDSCS men followed it up with an 81-80 win. The men’s win didn’t count toward their record as it was an exhibition game.

The Wildcat women were led by Ivane Tensaie and Ambah Cowcun with 17 and 16 points, respectively. Laurie Cren had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

Connor Hollenbeck turned in a double-double of his own in the tight NDSCS victory for the men, leading his team in scoring with 18 points and rebounds with 10. Eleven Wildcats scored in the balanced effort.

The NDSCS teams head to the Preseason Mon-Dak Conference Tournament in New Town. The Lady Wildcats take on Dakota College at Bottineau at noon on Friday and the Wildcat men also play Bottineau at 8:45 p.m. Friday.
