The Breckenridge-Wahpeton Storm cross-country teams wrapped up their season with the Section 6A Meet in Minnewaska on Saturday. The BW girls finished sixth out of 13 scoring teams for their highest finish since the co-op began and the Storm boys finished ninth out of 17 teams.
Rachel Gowin and Kiera Wiertzema each finished in the top 25 of the 101-runner field. Gowin placed 21st in 21:32 while Wiertzema came in 24th in 21:44.
Two BW boys runners finished in the top 25 of 119 racers. Junior Luke Baumgartner had the best race of his career to finish 18th in 18:08. Aidan Ruddy followed in 22nd in 18:15.
