The top-seeded Breckenridge volleyball team opened their postseason with a 3-1 home victory over Park Christian on Wednesday. The set scores were 25-13, 24-26, 25-23 and 25-16.
Camryn Kaehler and Abby Johnson turned in big showings with 22 and 20 kills, respectively. Kaehler also had 26 digs, an ace and an assisted block in a well-rounded performance.
Riley Finkral was active all night at her libero position, coming up with 39 digs.
The setter duo of Carcie Materi and Sophie Larson combined for 55 assists. Materi had 30 while Larson followed with 25.
Five Cowgirls got a hand on at least one block with Tori Undem ending the night with three assists and one solo.
The Cowgirls host Lake Park-Audubon in the Section 6A Quarterfinals at 7 p.m. tonight.
