On October 16th, at 5:54 p.m., the Breckenridge Police Department and the Wilkin County Sheriff’s Office responded to the Breckenridge High School after a report of a stolen vehicle. Through the investigation, officers learned that a juvenile male, age 14 stole approximately $600 in cash from the boy’s locker room in the High School. The juvenile male then proceeded outside where he took three cell phones and some keys that he found near the basketball court, located between the Aquatic Center and the High School. The juvenile used the keys to steal a vehicle that was parked in the aquatic center parking lot.

A few hours later, the juvenile male was located with the vehicle, by the St. Cloud Police Department and was taken into custody without incident. The vehicle sustained some damage to the interior as well as the exterior. Most of the stolen property has been recovered at this point and the vehicle has been returned to its owner. The juvenile has been charged with two counts of felony theft and is currently being held in a juvenile detention center.
