
The Wahpeton girls golf team shot their two best rounds of the year on Monday and Tuesday to finish sixth at the North Dakota State Golf Meet. The Huskies shot 350 as a team on Monday and took five strokes off their score for 345 on Tuesday.
Anaka Lysne shot rounds of 76 and 77 to take fourth overall in the individual meet with a score of 153. Lysne missed the playoff by two strokes. The Huskies standout was also named North Dakota’s Senior Athlete of the Year for Class A.
Fargo Davies were crowned team champions and one of their players also won the individual title in a playoff. Sophomore Lexi Bartley needed five extra holes to break the tie with Bismarck Century’s Hannah Herbel.
Wahpeton was also represented by Halle Miller (85/82, 167), McKena Koolmo (90/91, 181), Lily Anderson (99/96, 195), Scout Woods (101/95, 196) and Olivia Hansen (100/104, 204).
