Cover crops show rapid growth in Wilkin County

The popularity of cover crops has grown rapidly in Wilkin County. When the program was started nearly two years ago, 700 acres were involved. Today that number stands at over 6000 with continued growth. Kim Melton from Wilkin County Soil and Water told KBMW’s morning show on Tuesday that “farmers see the need” for cover crops now more than ever.
