The Wahpeton Lady Huskies volleyball team picked up a big two-point conference win against Devils Lake on Saturday. Wahpeton claimed three of the four sets on their home floor with the set scores being 25-22, 17-25, 25-19 and 25-15.

Wahpeton’s balanced offensive attack saw Kylie Storo come up with a team-high nine kills, Emma Bontjes had eight and Christa Habiger followed with seven.

Aiyana Allard was the team leader in assists and aces with 30 and four, respectively.

Storo also made her impact felt at the server’s line with three and a trio of other Huskies each had two.

Bontjes was a menace at the net with three and a half blocks with the other defensive standouts being Lidia Motl and Storo with 22 and 21 digs, respectively.

The Huskies’ victory counted as two conference wins, bringing their conference record to 3-9 and their overall record to 4-12. They move on to host Valley City at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
