On October 2, at around 8:57, Richland County Deputies responded to a report of a Chevy Silverado in the ditch at the intersection of 93 1/2 St. SE and 176 Avenue SE. At the scene it was found that the vehicle had been traveling East on 93 1/2 Street SE and went off the roadway at the intersection with 176 Avenue SE. The driver was transported to St. Francis Hospital via Hankinson Ambulance for non life threatening injuries suffered from the accident. In the vehicle were 2 passengers, Jason Labatte and Erik Matthews. Both passengers suffered minor to no injuries and were not transported medically from the scene. Driver Aaron Rogers, 43 was charged with DUI. Jason Labatte was arrested for unrelated warrants. Hankinson Ambulance, Fairmount First Responders, and Fairmount Fire responded to the scene.
