The Breckenridge volleyball team dominated their home court in the first match of the season, sending Ortonville home with a 3-0 loss by scores of 25-12, 25-10 and 25-9. 

Sophie Larson was the standout in the season opener, notching seven aces in the match. It was two shy of the school record. 

Larson also had 15 assists, which was second on the team to Carcie Materi’s 17. 

Camryn Kaehler picked up where she left off last year with 15 kills and 10 digs.  

Abby Johnson was the dig leader with 11. 

The Cowgirls stay home to take on Henning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
