Wahpeton residents will decide if the city will have a new proposed recreation center.
The Wahpeton City Council voted Monday gave first reading of an ordinance to approve ballot language and set a special election for Oct. 26
Voting against the motion were Councilman Jason Goltzand Council and Renata Fobb.
The city council of will adopt an ordinance which will implement a three-quarter percent sales, use and gross receipts tax increase for the purpose of funding the construction, maintenance and operation of a community recreation facility.
