The Wahpeton Lady Huskies golf team started the season with a fifth-place finish at the Valley City Invitational on Friday.
Wahpeton scored 388 as a team, behind Fargo Shanley at 344, Fargo Shanley at 347, Grand Forks Red River at 377 and Grand Forks Central at 387.
Anaka Lysne was second while Scout Woods shot a 99, Lily Anderson 191 and Haile Miller 108.
Wahpeton plays next at the East-West Classic in Jamestown Monday and Tuesday.
