The Wahpeton Post 20 American Legion baseball team earned the top seed for the N.D. East Region Baseball Tournament July 21-25 in Kindred.

Wahpeton finished the regular season 29-6 and 17-5 in East Region play and tied with the West Fargo Aces for the top spot, but earned the No. 1 seed on a tie-breaker.

Wahpeton will play the winner of the Devils Lake-Kindred game on Wednesday in a quarterfinal game on Thursday at 4 p.m. in the double-elimination tournament.

The top four teams in tourney advance to the state tournament next week in Jamestown.
