Post 20 falls in doubleheader at Fargo Astros

Wahpeton Post 20 was swept on the road Tuesday night by the Fargo Post 400 Astros by scores of 5-1 and 13-7.
In the opener, the lone Post 20 run came in the second when Caden Hockert scored on an error.
Hunter Wamre took the loss, pitching all six innings and giving up three earned runs off 10 hits and three walks. He struck out five in the defeat.
Isaac Loosmore had a triple in the opening game.
In game two of the doubleheader, the Astros took control right away and had a 6-1 lead by the end of the second inning.
Jackson Fliflet, Wamre and Ethan Manock each had a home run for Wahpeton in the nightcap. Fliflet’s was a three-run homer and he also had a double. Wamre plated two runs with his and Manock’s was a solo shot.
Hockert picked up the loss, giving up 11 earned runs in five innings off nine hits and six walks.
Wahpeton also received word that they would have to forfeit one of their games earlier in the season for using an ineligible pitcher, bringing their record to 25-6.
Post 20 plays their final home games of the regular season with a doubleheader against Casselton starting at 5 p.m. Thursday.
