Post 20 sees winning streak end at 18 games

Wahpeton Post 20 gave up a 5-2 lead on Sunday to LaMoure in the championship game of the Clark, S.D., tournament for a 7-6 loss that ended Wahpeton’s winning streak at 18 games.
Wahpeton scored three runs in the first inning and two in the fourth for a 5-2 lead. LaMoure tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the fourth and two in the fifth to take the lead for good.
Wahpeton had 14 hits in the game with Jackson Fliflet collecting four and two RBIs. Hunter Wamre added three hits and Ethan Manock two.
Isaac Loosmore started and worked four innings, giving up five runs and striking out eight.
Manock took the loss with two innings of relief, also giving up two runs.
Wahpeton returns to N.D. Class A East Region play with a doubleheader at the Fargo 400 Astros on Tuesday starting at 5:30 p.m.
