Richland County Emergency Management director Brett Lambrecht said on Sunday on Facebook that the Wahpeton Fire Department responded to a grass fire within the city limits of Wahpeton.
The fire, by the rail road track near the Roadway Inn Hotel was quickly extinguished by the fire department.
Lambrecht said the cause of the fire came from fireworks being set off in the area.
