Breckenridge sweeps Parkers Prairie in MLC doubleheader

Breckenridge American Legion Post 53 swept Parkers Prairie at home on Wednesday to improve to 13-3 on the season.
Breckenridge won the first game 6-0 and beat Parkers Prairie 13-1 in 5 innings in the second.
In the opener, Jace Hegge and Adam Ohm combined on a two-hit shutout for the win. Hegge got the win, allowing both hits while striking out five. Ohm got the last five outs.
Breckenridge had six hits in the game with Cooper Yaggie collecting three to go with two RBIs. Braydon Wahl and Chris Nieto also drove in a run.
In the second game, Post 53 scored nine runs in the second inning to take control. Breckenridge also scored four times in the fifth.
Wahl, Yaggie and Chris Nieto all had three hits with Cam Nieto driving in three runs.
Emitt Vig and Jace Werner were dominant on the mound, combining on a one-hitter with Werner getting the win in relief.
Breckenridge remains at home to host Hawley on Thursday in a single game starting at 7 p.m.
