The final day of the Wahpeton American Legion Post 20 Invitational has now been officially canceled due to weather.
Four placing games were to be played Sunday, including Wahpeton against Billings, Mont., Upper Deck for the championship and Breckenridge against Fargo Post 400 All-Stars for fifth place.
Rain began around 5 a.m. Sunday morning and persisted throughout the day.
Wahpeton and Billings finish the tournament at 3-0, the Fargo Bombers and Fergus Falls 2-1, Breckenridge and Post 400 1-2 and the Wahpeton B legion and Clark-Willow Lakes, S.D., 0-3.
Up next for the local teams, Wahpeton plays at the Fargo Jets on Monday in the doubleheader beginning at 5 p.m. and Breckenridge will play in the Montevideo tournament starting on Friday.
