No. 4 seed Breckenridge continues play in the Minn. Section 8AA baseball playoffs by taking on No. 1 seed Perham at 2:30 p.m. today in Deer Creek in the quarterfinals.
The Cowboys, 15-5 this season, lost 10-7 and 9-3 to Perham on May 24 in Perham.
A win by Breckenridge advances them to a semifinal game at 5 p.m. at Deer Creek. A loss sends the Cowboys into the elimination bracket where they will play at 5 p.m. in Park Rapids.
The other quarterfinal game has south No. 2 seed Wadena-Deer Creek hosting No. 3 seed Menahga. In the north, top seed Warroad plays No. seed Thief River Falls and No. 2 seed Roseau takes on No. 6 Park Rapids.
The Breckenridge track and field team competes at the Minn. Section 8AA meet at Wadena-Deer Creek High School.
The field events start at 2 p.m. with the track events beginning at 3 p.m.
