Minnesota’s statewide mask requirement came to an end on Thursday with Gov. Tim Walz making the announcement while also recommending non-vaccinated residents to wear face coverings.

Private businesses may still require face coverings and Minnesota’s Safe Learning Plan, along with the existing face covering guidance for schools and child care settings, are still in effect.

Masks are no longer required indoors or outdoors with the CDC making the announcement.

Two weeks after the final dose of COVID-19 vaccine is when people are officially fully vaccinated. Vaccine appointments can still be made at mn.gov/vaccine.
