The Breckenridge baseball team continued their dominant stretch to start the season with two lopsided wins over Barnesville on Thursday.

The Cowboys took game one by a score of 12-2 and capped off the night by shutting out the Trojans, 11-0. Both of the games ended in five innings due to the mercy rule.

Cam Nieto, Cooper Yaggie and Jared Aamold each had two RBIs in the first game.
Connor Twidwell won the opening game of the doubleheader, scattering nine hits and a walk to limit Barnesville to a pair of runs.

The Cowboys were out-hit in the game 9-5, but capitalized on five errors by the Trojan defense.

In the second game, Yaggie threw a 3-hitter while striking out 6 while adding two hits and two runs batted in, in the win.

Jayce Werner also had two hits for the Cowboys while Cam Nieto drove in three runs.

The 7-1 Cowboys have won six straight and will host Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton for another conference doubleheader at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
