The Wahpeton track teams hosted their annual OJ & Dee Jensen Kiwanis Invitational on Tuesday. Multiple surrounding area teams took part with Kindred winning the boys meet and Fargo Shanley taking first for the girls.

Twelve boys teams participated in the competition and 11 girls teams took part.

The Wahpeton boys came in sixth with the Lady Huskies finishing sixth. Wahpeton took first in a pair of girls events. The 4×400 was won by Alison Hoerer, Kilee Bladow, Sydney Mahrer and Kinsey Pedersen in 4:29. Quinn Bassingthwaite cleared 7-foot-6-inches to win the pole vault.

The Breckenridge girls finished seventh and the boys came in eighth.

Breckenridge’s winners included the Breckenridge Cowboys 4×200 relay with Sebastian Anderson, Anthony Conzemius, Daniel Erlandson and James Mertes running a time of 1:39 seconds and Cowgirl Grace Conzemius won the 400 meter dash in 1:03.68.

Drew Frolek had a hand in both of Wyndmere-Lidgerwood’s first-place finishes, winning the 800 meter run in 2:29 and anchoring the 4×800 relay, which won their race in 10:12. Dreah Frolek, Kendra Kaczynski and Olivia Frolek also took part in the winning relay.
