The Vince Herding Spring Youth Fishing Derby returns on Saturday May 1st at the Kidder Recreation Area in Wahpeton. This event is free for boys and girls ages 18 and under. Fishing will take place from 8 a.m. till noon. That will be followed by a casting contest from 10 a.m. till noon and food and prizes starting at noon. This event is sponsored by the Red River Area Sportsmen’s Club. Anyone 16 and older must have a North Dakota fishing license.
