Desire, Tollefson earn 2nd team All-State honors

Wahpeton seniors Munezero Desire and Tyler Tollefson were named second team All-State Wednesday by the N.D. AP Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association.
Munezero just missed first-team All-State honors, leading the second team.
The Wahpeton senior finished in the top eight in five categories in the Eastern Dakota Conference: 1st in steals (3.2 per game), 3rd in scoring (19.1 points), 4th in 3-point percentage (41.9%), 7th in assists (3.6 per game), 7th in rebounds (7.8 per game).
Tollefson was second in the EDC in scoring at 22.9 points a game while also finishing second in 3-pointers made (3.4 per game) and second in free throw percentage (86.8 percent).
Tollefson and Desire led Wahpeton to a 13-11 record this season and fourth place in the final EDC standings.
