B-W Blades 19U girls team places fifth at state tournament

The B-W Blades 19U girls hockey team went 3-1 this past weekend to finish fifth at the N.D. State Tournament in Langdon.
The sixth-seeded Blades lost 4-1 to Bismarck in the first round on Friday. Riley Finkral scored the team’s lone goal while Falon Phelps had 27 saves.
B-W went 2-0 on Saturday, beating Crosby 11-0 and Watford City 4-3 in overtime
Five different Blades had multiple points in the win over Crosby with Reagan Wohlers scoring five goals to go with two assists. Finkral and Alison Hoerer each had two goals and two assists while Paxten Jensen added a goal and an assists.
B-W then beat Watford City on an overtime goal by Finkral. Finkral had two goals for the Blades while Reagan Wohlers scored two as well.
Phelps made 23 saves to get the win.
Sunday, B-W topped Langdon 5-1 for the consolation title.
Kennedy Schuler scored the first goal for B-W with Wohlers adding a goal for a 2-0 lead.
Wohlers and Hoerer each scored in the second period and Phelps made 15 saves for the win.
After the tournament, Wohlers, Hoerer and Finkral were all named to the all-state team.
