The Wahpeton Huskies used a 12-0 run over the final 3 minutes, 15 seconds of the first half to build a 50-35 lead over Fargo Shanley en route to an 83-71 win on Friday.

The win, coming on Senior Night, was the fifth straight for the Huskies, who improved to 12-8 on the season and clinched the No. 4 seed for the upcoming East Region Tournament.

Tyler Tollefson scored 24 points to lead the Huskies and has scored 95 points in the last three game. Tollefson was 5 of 8 on 3-pointers in the game and now had 68 on the season, seven shy of the the single-season record of 75 set by Matt Aakre in the 2013-14 season.

Carter Hoerer had 16 points and seven rebounds for Wahpeton while Munezero Desire had 14 points and 15 rebounds.

Ethan Manock added 13 points and 11 rebounds off the bench and Bridger Hansen scored 12 points to go with seven rebounds and four assists.

Wahpeton concluded its regular-season schedule with a road game at No. 5 West Fargo on Tuesday.

The Huskies will then have a week off before hosting the No. 5 seed in an East Region quarterfinal game on Tuesday, March 2 at Wahpeton High School.
