Wahpeton senior Josh Krump is headed to the 285-pound semifinals at the North Dakota State Wrestling Tournament.

After receiving a bye in the opening round on Thursday, the senior heavyweight won by a 22-7 tech fall and followed it up with a pin in 5 minutes, 58 seconds in the quarterfinal round.

Krump will wrestle Mandan’s Tytus Bachmeier in today’s semifinals.

Three other Huskies picked up at least one win on the mat.

Hunter Owens received a bye and was pinned in his first trip to the mat. He received a bye before ending the day with a pin.

Tanner Thiel had a similar day to Owens, starting off with a bye, was pinned and then followed up another bye with an 8-3 win by decision.

Jackson Burchill is also still in the tournament, picking up a bye and winning a match by pin before getting pinned in the quarterfinals.
