The Wahpeton girls basketball team struggled to keep up with Valley City in a 77-55 home loss to the Hi-Liners on Tuesday.
Scout Woods and McKena Koolmo were each in double figures for the Huskies with 14 and 13, respectively. Woods was also the leading rebounder with six with her fellow eighth grader Lataya Lunneborg matching it.
Peyton Pederson led Valley City with 25 points.
Wahpeton had 26 turnovers in the loss while being held to 29 percent from the field.
