Wahpeton will have 15 wrestlers competing this week at the N.D. Class A Individual State Championships at the Fargodome in Fargo.
Senior Josh Krump enters the tournament with a 6-0 record at 285 pounds and will be the No. 2 seed.
Junior Hunter Owens is 5-4 and 132 pounds this season while senior Tanner Thiel is 5-4 at 192 and junior Jackson Burchill 4-2 at 195. Senior Logan Gjerdevig went 6-7 at 220 pounds.
Others wrestling for Wahpeton at state include eighth grader Logan Stevens at 106, freshman Colman Barth at 113, eighth grader Christian Kast at 120, sophomore Bryce Awender and freshman Weston Jensen at 128, senior Brady Owens at 138, senior Kaleb Mostoller and eighth grader Myles Hinkley at 152 and senior Jordan Miller and junior Nathan Worrel at 170.
The individual tournament runs Friday and Saturday at the Fargodome.
