A 60-year-old male driver was killed after colliding with a train according to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office. The name of the driver has not been released and he passed away at the scene.
The crash occurred southeast of Otter Tail City on 308th St. near the intersection with 460th Ave.
The sheriff’s office responded to the crash at 8:48 a.m. this morning after a Canadian Pacific train struck a Dodge Ram pickup heading east. The vehicle was struck on the passenger side and the driver was the lone occupant. Neither of the train crew personnel were injured.
Along with the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, the Ottertail Fire Department and First Responders, Perham EMS and Henning Ambulance assisted at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
