The Wahpeton Huskies started slow and finished fast, but couldn’t overcome a 21-point deficit in an 86-77 loss to Fargo South in Fargo on Tuesday.

The Huskies, 7-7 on the season, trailed by 21 points in the first half and by 15 at halftime. Wahpeton got as close as six points late in the game.

Munezero Desire led all scorers with 23 points for Wahpeton.

Tyler Tollefson scored 16 points, scoring 10 points from the free throw line.

Jaxson Berndt added 13 and Ethan Manock scored 11 points and had a team-high nine rebounds off the bench.

Wahpeton returns home to host Fargo North on Friday.
