The Wahpeton Lady Huskies battled back from a 15-point second-half deficit to get within a point of Fargo South on Tuesday before falling 64-61 at Wahpeton High School.

The Lady Huskies, now 1-13, outscored South 36-26 in the second half.

McKenna Koolmo and Scout Woods each scored 15 points for Wahpeton while Woods had seven rebounds and Koolmo six

Emma Bontjes added nine points and 10 rebounds in the game with Lidia Motl also scoring nine points, all on 3-pointers.

The Lady Huskies will next play at Fargo North on Friday.
