The Breckenridge Cowgirls claimed a conference road win in Barnesville on Tuesday, holding off a Trojan comeback in a 42-36 win.
The hosts took their first lead with an 8-0 run early in the second half, but the Cowgirls came right back to regain the advantage. Breckenridge sank five consecutive free throws down the stretch to put Barnesville away.
Grace Conzemius led the way with 11 points. Camryn Kaehler and Jude Held followed with seven apiece. All of Kaehler’s points came in the opening half.
The Cowgirls get a week off and look to improve to 4-1 with a Tuesday road battle against the Moorhead Spuds.
